The Student Branch located therein has been living up to expectation. It has been a pacesetter in several respects. Notable among these is the first-of-its-kind project christened the IEEE/HP Telecentre located at the prestigious faculty of technology What is worth doing at all is worth doing well, so they say. And that is why we in the Student Branch IEEE of UI are putting in a lot to make sure that we not only rank among the best or the most active branches in Nigeria, but in the Region 8 as a whole. UI Student Branch was pioneered by Mr. Funso Adebayo and indeed, he put in a lot to make this a notable Student Branch in Nigeria. He handed over to a new Chair in 2003 - Adebowale Onifade and indeed, UI SB has gone places thereafter. |
